We are always looking for volunteers who would like to work with us! The work we do is very varied and across different sectors. 

You can choose either to help us from abroad or to come to Thailand and get involved in our projects.

Volunteers in Thailand need to provide themselves with accommodation, transportation, and cover any other expenses as we are unable to do so. To volunteer here on the border means challenging work and to be exposed to difficult situations, but it also means an outstanding opportunity to develop your personality and to experience life-enriching moments.

Hi, my name is Katie Luehrs. I am 28 years old and I am from Chicago, Illinois in the United States of America. In the US, I am an English as a Second Language and math teacher for grades seven and eight. I wanted to volunteer in Thailand because I teach many students that are refugees from Myanmar who now live in the US. I love working with my Burmese students and I wanted to understand what their lives in Thailand  were like before coming to the US .

I spent most of my time with the Rays of Youth organization; working across an human trafficking awareness  event as well as a hygiene training workshop – teaching students about diseases, medicine, washing their hands, and brushing their teeth.

The Help Without Frontiers team was great to work with and I am very sad that this is the end of my time here, as it was an experience I won’t forget with people that I will miss greatly!
