Strengthening Migrant Youth Leadership through Personal Well-Being and Community Compassion
In 2019, the Rays of Youth project will celebrate its tenth anniversary. Since the inception of the Rays of Youth program, more than 100 youth have been trained and graduated from the Leadership program. Awareness raising activities and events have reached more than 49,000 community members.
In the lead-up to the celebrations, Help without Frontiers is glad to launch the research “Strengthening Migrant Youth Leadership through Personal Well-being and Community Compassion”, conducted by the International Institute for Child Rights & Development. The research explores the main components of the Rays of Youth project in order to investigate general issues of well-being and challenges for youth participating to the program. The research also highlights ways in which the Rays of Youth builds resilience and opportunity for young people in addressing these issues and formulates recommendations in order to improve the program and expand opportunities for young leaders of change.
