Last month the focus of our trainings was on children on the move. A total of 106 people were reached, among others 41 teachers and 52 students and Rays of Youth leaders from seven migrant learning centers (CDC, Hser Thoo Lei, SAW, Parami, Love&Care, New Day and New Road) as well as 13 HWF staff members.
The main objective of the trainings was about understanding children who are on the move and different types of migration, routes and legal and illegal ways as well as the Human Rights and Child Rights principles regarding child protection for teachers and students.
In order to be aware of risks of migration, child trafficking and exploitation Help without Frontiers has set up the Rays of Youth project to empower Burmese migrant children, youth and communities through life skills to be safe, to take wise decisions, and yet to live a better and safer life. Huge thanks to our bright Ray of Youth leaders for their hard work, for their energy, for their talent. The role of youth leaders in migrant communities along the Thai-Myanmar border is very important to promote safe migration.
