The training covered key computer and internet skills, including basic hardware and software knowledge, typing in English and Burmese, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and internet essentials like Gmail and Google Drive. Participants also learned practical skills such as file management, data transfer, and safe internet use. Every student completed both a written and practical exam, with certificates awarded to all and special recognition given to outstanding students.
One participant shared, “Thank you to Rays of Youth and the donors for providing this course for migrant children, especially during the summer. We are proud to learn and feel happy. If there are more opportunities in the future, we would like to join again. The trainers are patient and kind."”
Another young learner added, “PowerPoint was my favorite—we had fun using transitions and animations. I enjoyed typing and creating slides!”
This success marks a meaningful step in digital empowerment for migrant youth. Rays of Youth is already preparing the next ICT training course to be held in another center during the upcoming school holidays, ensuring more young people gain access to the skills needed in today’s digital world.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all donors and supporters who made this project possible. Your generous contributions and belief in youth empowerment have opened the digital door for children who need it most. Your support is planting seeds of confidence, learning, and future opportunities.
