Community Development

Help without Frontiers also sees the long-term goals of having communities that are able to sustain themselves and have set up projects that provide not only generate income but also provide and allow community based training and support to marginalised communities. From 2008 to 2017, we run Happy Tailor as one community development project setup for refugee women with the aim of generating income, providing fair working conditions for Burmese refugees and to produce school uniforms for the “Ray of Hope schools”. Nowadays, the former staff of the Happy Tailor project have enough capacity and knowledge to run an independent shop and keep producing teacher and student uniforms for Help without Frontiers.
